My supervision style is very interactive and one of support and guidance. I encourage supervisees to come prepared with questions and topics that they also would like to discuss, so that I can ensure that they are getting what they need out of each supervision. I will also often encourage supervisees to practice daily self-care and maintain appropriate boundaries, as I have found that it helps us to provide quality care to our clients and reduce burnout.
I graduated from Florida State University in 2011 with a Masters in Social Work and obtained my LCSW in 2017. While I am currently working as a Social Worker for a Managed Care Organization, the majority of my experience has been in mental health and providing individual/family therapy services to clients. I have experience working in both inpatient psychiatric hospitals as well as outpatient behavioral health clinics. I have also worked as an Adoptions Case Manager for a private organization and a Functional Family Therapist, contracting with the Department of Juvenile Justice.

Casual. I understand that supervision is put in place as part of the process of making good social workers great! I wish to build trust and a lasting professional relationship with the social worker I will supervise.

My supervision style is collaborative, and focused on ethics, systems, and therapeutic solutions. The main style of sessions will be conversational, allowing you to bring in your professional needs and problems weekly. If relevant to your learning on a specific issue, we can also use literature review.
I have been a clinical social worker for a decade, and have worked with children through young adults. The first half of my career was spent in the juvenile justice system [state facility, court system, parish detention center] and I have spent the second half doing general outpatient therapy, with most of my clients part of the LGBTQ community

My supervision style is person-centered and assumes clinicians are thoughtful professionals doing their best in imperfect systems. I approach supervision through a harm-reduction lens that favors realistic, ethical care over moral purity or performative perfection. Sessions are practical and grounded, focused on what actually helps clients, protects clinicians, and survives documentation review. I balance solid clinical skill with well-timed humor to lower defensiveness, normalize complexity, and make the hard parts of the work more sustainable.
I have worked in a variety of social work settings, and with a variety of populations. These settings include running a group home for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, working for Bridge City Center for Youth, Orleans Parish Drug Court, two FQHC's and I now run a private practice and teach as an adjunct at Tulane School of Social Work.
